Joseph Williams, 22, from Bridgnorth, received both the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust Scholarship and the Newport and District Agricultural Society scholarship. The final year BSc (Hons) Agriculture student said: “Receiving both of the scholarships is a great honour.
"I would like to thank both the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust and the Newport and District Agricultural Society thoroughly. I look forward to working with Newport Show and forging a relationship with the society.”
Brown Clee Young Farmer Joseph spent his work placement year in New Zealand, on a beef and sheep farm in Taranaki, North Island. Beyond graduation he hopes to travel more, experiencing new agricultural practices that he can then use to develop his family’s farm.
