Joseph Williams receives his Newport and District scholarship

Joseph Williams, 22, from Bridgnorth, received both the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust Scholarship and the Newport and District Agricultural Society scholarship. The final year BSc (Hons) Agriculture student said: “Receiving both of the scholarships is a great honour.

"I would like to thank both the Lord Leverhulme Charitable Trust and the Newport and District Agricultural Society thoroughly. I look forward to working with Newport Show and forging a relationship with the society.”

Brown Clee Young Farmer Joseph spent his work placement year in New Zealand, on a beef and sheep farm in Taranaki, North Island.  Beyond graduation he hopes to travel more, experiencing new agricultural practices that he can then use to develop his family’s farm.
