Alexandra Massey, from Errill, County Laois, is the grateful recipient of the Dunbia Scholarship at º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø.

Provided via the Harper Adams in Ireland association for former students, the Dunbia Scholarship, sponsored by the red meat producer of the same name, provides funds to support a student from the island of Ireland.

Alexandra, 23 is in the final year of an honours degree in animal behaviour and welfare. She said: “To be chosen for this scholarship was a big surprise for me, being an animal behaviour student, I never expected to be chosen, but after learning more about Dunbia, I was very glad to have been picked.

“This scholarship has afforded me a freedom whilst at university which I would otherwise have been denied,” added the former Athlone Institute of Technology and Gurteen Agricultural College student, who is a member of the Harper Ireland student society and the Harper Adams Equestrian Club.
