Tim Chick Scholarship for Dorset student

    Posted 1 March 2014

Gillingham’s Sarah Goddard, 23, was one of almost 100 students celebrated at º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø’s scholarships presentation event.

Sarah, a former pupil of Gillingham School, Dorset, is a final year BSc (Hons) Rural Enterprise and Land Management at the university in Shropshire, and winner of The Tim Chick Scholarship, worth £1,000.

She said: “I feel honoured to have been selected as the recipient of The Tim Chick Scholarship, the financial support will help me to focus on completing my degree.

“Last year I completed my year in industry with Pilgrim Bond Chartered Surveyors, in Lambourn, Berkshire. They specialise in rural and equestrian property and I was able to complete the first year of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Assessment of Professional Competence.

“Within two years of graduating I would like to have completed the second year of my APC to become a member of the RICS. I would also like to sit the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers exams and would ideally like to continue working within the rural sector.”

Sarah was treasurer of the Harper Adams Polo Club in 2012/13 and has played in a number of national university tournaments. She is also a member of the Harper Adams Shooting Club.
