The Albert Bartlett Technical Scholarship is open to all second year BSc and first year FdSc students at º¬Ðß²ÝÉçÇø who are studying Food Technology and Innovation, Business, or a related discipline.  This exciting opportunity is ideal for a motivated student with a keen interest in building a career in the dynamic world of food manufacturing operations with Albert Bartlett.  The successful applicant will gain practical experience in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, they will support the technical team in maintaining product quality, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

A placement year with Albert Bartlett must be suitable for your course area. 

Location: One placement in Airdrie and one placement in Westwick (North Walsham)

Opportunities

Albert Bartlett may award two Operations Scholarship and, if awarded, the successful recipient(s) will receive:

• A significant contribution towards their education of £4,500
• Employment within the Technical department at Albert Bartlett during their placement year
• Subject to a review at the end of placement with Albert Bartlett, there may be an opportunity of a place on the company’s Graduate Programme and the potential for further funding in the scholar’s final academic year
• The Albert Bartlett will assist with finding local accommodation if needed

The award will be paid in two equal parts; half to be paid in February 2026 and the remaining balance in May 2026

This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date and interview. The decision of the Albert Bartlett Scholarship panel is FINAL.

The Albert Bartlett Scholarship includes a placement, therefore you must submit your application via the Student Dashboard placement pages.  Paper copies will not be accepted.

Please note: you may only apply for a maximum of three placement based scholarships.
