How to Tell if Your Alternator is Working
Do you think that your alternator is on vacation? A quick test is to place a screwdriver blade near the back of the alternator with the engine running (children, be careful when you do this at home…). If the alternator is charging, there will be a magnetic field on the backside which will attract the screwdriver blade. No attraction means no charging.
